THE LOCKING ELEVATED TOILET SEAT IS COMPATIBLE WITH A VARIETY OF TOILET FIXTURES; HOWEVER CERTAIN BOWL STYLES WILL REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF THE EXISTING SEAT AND/OR LID TO ENSURE A CORRECT FIT ONCE INSTALLED. DETERMINE IF YOU WILL BE USING THE ELEVATED TOILET SEAT WITH OR WITHOUT ARMRESTS. IF YOU WILL NOT BE USING THE ARMREST STYLE START THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AT STEP 2. 1.Place each armrest in the provided slot until the spring loaded button clicks into position. 2. Lift up the toilet seat and lid. 3. Rotate adjustment knob by locking elevated toilet seat counterclockwise until there is enough space to clear the inner rim of toilet. 4. Place the elevated toilet seat onto the toilet bowl rim by hooking rear flanges under the edge of the bowl. Verify the elevated toilet seat sits flat on the toilet bowl rim. (The knob must be at the front of the toilet bowl.) 5. Center elevated seat and push back as far as possible with hands. 6. Tighten the adjustment knob by turning it clockwise. Once resistance is felt, turn knob an additional 1/8 inch until snug. 7. If the top rear portion of elevated toilet seat is touching the toilet seat or lid, remove the toilet seat and lid; repeat instructions 3-5. The elevated toilet seat is properly installed when the unit sits flat on the top of the toilet bowl lip and should fit securely against the inner rim of the bowl. To use: AFTER PROPER INSTALLATION, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. FAILURE TO COMPLY COULD RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY. THE ELEVATED TOILET SEAT MAY BE USED IN THE SAME MANNER AS A REGULAR SEAT. 1. Back up to the seat until the back of your knees are touching the seat. 2. Reach for the armrests or hand-holds. 3. Slowly lower yourself onto the elevated toilet seat by bending your elbows and knees. 4. Reverse steps 1-3 for getting up. Push on the armrest or seat as much as you're comfortable with. Make sure you have your balance before releasing your hold from the elevated toilet seat. To clean: Can be easily cleaned with mild soap and water. DO NOT use abrasive powders or scouring pads.
