Indications
For people with dysphagia in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and at home. Easily thickens liquids and pureed food for people with difficulty swallowing. Produces any desired consistency quickly, easily and controllably without changing the taste or appearance of hot and cold foods and beverages. More concentrated than Thick-It instant food and beverage thickener. Easily digested and does not bind fluids. Gluten free. Kosher. Measuring spoon enclosed. Unflavored.
Directions
Scoop and level off recommended amount of thickener using enclosed measuring spoon. Slowly add thickener to the liquid while stirring briskly with a spoon, fork or whisk until thickener has dissolved. Let thickened liquid stand 30 seconds to 1 minute to achieve desired consistency and serve. When mixed with milk or nutritional supplement drink, stir briskly, let stand 5 to 10 minutes, stir and serve. Recommended usage per 4 fl oz: Water: nectar consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, honey consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp, pudding consistency 4 -5 tsp. Apple juice: nectar consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, honey consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp, pudding consistency 4 - 5 tsp. Orange juice: nectar consistency 2-1/2 - 3 tsp, honey consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, pudding consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp. Cranberry juice: nectar consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, honey consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp, pudding consistency 4 - 5. Coffee/tea: nectar consistency 2-1/2 - 3 tsp, honey consistency 3 -3-1/2 tsp, pudding consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp. Milk-low fat: nectar consistency 2-1/2 - 3 tsp, honey consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, pudding consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp. Nutritional supplement drink: nectar consistency 2-1/2 - 3 tsp, honey consistency 3 - 3-1/2 tsp, pudding consistency 3-1/2 - 4 tsp. Pureed foods: pudding consistency 2 tsp. You may need to adjust the amount of thickener to suit your requirements. For best results, consume within 30 minutes of mixing. Dispose of unused thickener in trash receptacle and not in sink.
