These are specifically designed to speed blood flow and help reduce the chance of DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) by providing precise graduated compression up the leg. Compression is tightest at the ankle and gradually diminishes up the calf. Interrupted band minimizes stocking slippage. Enhanced design helps maintain compression and circulation. Contoured seamless construction promotes comfortable fit without constriction. Defined heel pocket for easy sock placement. Non-sterile. Latex free. 18mm/Hg graduated compression.
Directions | |
1. Measure calf circumference at greatest width to determine size. 2. Measure distance from bend of knee to bottom of heel to determine length. Size Large: Calf circumference 17-5 - 20 in., Length 14 - 18 in. If possible, measure length in standing position. TED stocking precautions: Proper sizing and application must be assured. TED stocking contraindications: Stockings may not be recommended for patients with the following (ask your doctor): 1. Any local leg condition in which the stockings would interfere, such as: Dermatitis; Vein ligation (immediate post-operative); Gangrene; Recent skin graft. 2. Severe arteriosclerosis or other ischemic vascular disease. 3.Massive oedema of legs or pulmonary oedema from congestive heart failure. 4. Extreme deformity of leg. Care instructions: To preserve life of stockings, launder every three days. Keep the stockings free from substances such as ointments, oils and lanolin which deteriorate elastic. Normal washing procedures may be used with either hand wash or machine wash with cold water using a delicate cycle. Hang or lay flat to air dry. Avoid contact with chloric bleach. Wear instructions: 1. Insert hand into stockings as far as the heel pocket. Grasp center of the heel pocket and turn stocking inside out. 2. Carefully position stocking over foot and heel. Center heel in heel pocket.3. Pull stocking up and around ankle and calf, working up to the final position. The stitch change (change in fabric sheerness) should fall 1-2 inches below the bend of the knee. Smooth out any excess material.
Warnings | |
